Fanta Kaba est née en 1987 à Paris, où elle vit et travaille. Elle commence sa carrière dans l’univers de la Finance avant de se consacrer entièrement à la photographie (Master européen de photographie professionnelle, Spéos Photographic Institute, 2017).
Elle est essentiellement photographe de portrait, de mode et de plateau.
Son travail personnel (photographie argentique), de nature essentiellement expérimental et poétique, constitue une invitation à la contemplation et à la réflexion. Le corps humain et sa représentation, les textures et les éléments naturels sont au coeur de son travail photographique. A travers de subtiles nuances de gris, de jeux d'ombre et de lumière, de fragments de matériaux et de détails du corps, Fanta développe une oeuvre photographique singulière qui mène souvent à l'abstraction. Ses photographies en noir et blanc mêlent illusion et réalité; c’est cette frontière qu’elle tente de saisir. Elle cherche à ralentir et à troubler le regard.

Fanta Kaba was born in 1987 in Paris, where she lives and works. She began her career in finance and obtained a MA in European Photography at Spéos Photographic Institute in 2017. She is now a portrait, fashion and a film stills photographer, taking photographs on movie sets.
Her poetic personal projects (analog photography) invite to contemplation. The textures, the natural elements, the body and its representation are at the heart of her photographic work. Focusing on fragments of the human body and of sculptures, she transforms her subjects into intriguing and abstract compositions of lines and texture, of shadow and light. With subtle shades of gray and delicate landscapes, Fanta Kaba develops a singular and meditative photographic work that allows us to be immersed in a universe of sensations. Her black and white photographs often confuse the line between illusion and reality, a border she often plays with.
